Admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Kerala is based on the NEET rank, the national-level entrance examination for undergraduate medical programmes. Based on NEET results, the state rank list is prepared and admissions are conducted through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) in accordance with the approved prospectus and reservation norms. MBBS and BDS admissions cover approximately 35 medical colleges and 25 dental colleges across the state. The annual intake is about 6,700 seats, subject to variation as notified by the competent authorities.
